Conclusion:

Zazzle offers low-priced paper marketing materials and signs and banners, average-priced stationery, and high-priced promotional materials. Zazzle does not offer many signage materials, but they do offer posters. Zazzle lets you upload and print an existing design, and they also offer predesigned templates and a design tool to help you create your design for some products.  We found it easy to upload a design, but they do not let you download a blank template of their paper products that can help you with uploading your design. Zazzle does not offer free PDF proofs of your design or free paper samples, which we consider to be market standards.

We found their customer support to be high quality. Zazzle has a standard shipping time of 4-7 business days, which is faster our Market Standard shipping time of one week.

Design and Printing

Zazzle lets you upload your existing design and have it printed. You can upload your existing design in the following formats: JPEG, PNG, PDF, Adobe Illustrator, GIF, and TIFF. It was really easy to upload our design, and you can create your own design using their design tool.

Zazzle uses digital printing instead of offset printing. Offset printing is a process in which a plate makes an inked impression on a rubber-blanketed cylinder, which in turn transfers it to the paper. Offset printing offers higher image quality, is more cost effective when ordering large quantities, and is better for larger prints. Digital printing is a process in which the data and images are printed directly from the computer onto paper. It has shorter turnaround time, is more cost effective when ordering small quantities, and is better for customized printing.

Posters

You can order posters through Zazzle in quantities ranging from 1-500, which meets our Market Standard minimum order size of one item. One poster costs $9.95. As you order larger quantities, your price per poster gets significantly cheaper. They offer horizontal and vertical layouts, and the size of the poster can be customized to your liking. Zazzle’s posters have many different finish options, including matte print UV, gloss print UV, matte canvas, UV, and gloss canvas UV.

Shipping

Zazzle’s standard shipping time is 4-7 business days, which meets our Market Standard of one week. The standard shipping price for one poster is $6.99. Shipping prices may vary with location. 1-business day and 2-business day shipping are also available for an additional fee.

Proofs & Samples

Zazzle offers free online image proofs, so you can see what your products will look like before you order, which meets our Market Standard. However, they don’t offer free paper samples (a pack of paper styles that are mailed to you and from which you can choose), which does not meet our Market Standard.
