iPrint Comparison and Review
Pros:
- Easy to upload design
- Can create your design from scratch with their editor
- Faster shipping options available: Next Day, 2-Day
Cons:
- Provider does not offer greeting cards
- PDF proof not available
Conclusion:
iPrint offers low-priced stationery and paper marketing materials, and they do not offer promotional materials or signs and banners. They do not offer many paper marketing materials, but they do offer postcards. iPrint lets you upload and print an existing design, and they also offer predesigned templates and a design tool to help you create your design for some products. iPrint is a great service if you are looking for a flexible, easy-to-use design tool that can help you create your design. However, they do not offer as many marketing materials as some of the other providers do. They also do not offer a free PDF proof of your design, which we consider to be a market standard.
We found their customer support to be high quality because of how helpful and knowledgeable support techs were when answering our questions. Their standard shipping time is 7-10 days, which meets our Market Standard shipping time of one week.
Design and Printing
iPrint meets our Market Standard by allowing you to easily upload an existing design and have it printed. iPrint will accept JPG, BMP, and PNG files for uploading your design. iPrint also lets you create your own design from scratch using their design tool. Their design tool includes a WYSIWYG editor and lets you drag-and-drop text and images. Their design templates show “cut and bleed” lines, so you know exactly where your paper will be cut.
iPrint offers digital printing, which differs from offset printing. Offset printing is a process in which a plate makes an inked impression on a rubber-blanketed cylinder, which in turn transfers it to the paper. Offset printing offers higher image quality, is more cost effective when ordering large quantities, and is better for larger prints. Digital printing is a process in which the data and images are printed directly from the computer onto paper. It has shorter turnaround time, is more cost effective when ordering small quantities, and is better for customized printing.
Letterhead
You can order letterhead through iPrint in quantities that range from 250-5,000, which meets our Market Standard minimum order size. For 250 letterheads, it costs $129.99 for full-color and $79.99 for 1-2 color. As you order larger quantities, your price per letterhead gets significantly cheaper. Their letterheads come with a matte finish.
Greeting Cards
iPrint does not offer greeting cards at this time.
Envelopes
You can order envelopes through iPrint in quantities that range from 250-5,000, which meets our Market Standard minimum order size. For 250 envelopes, it costs $84.99. As you order larger quantities, your price per envelope gets significantly cheaper.
Shipping
iPrint’s standard shipping time is 7-10 days, which meets our Market Standard of one week. The standard shipping cost for 250 letterheads or 250 envelopes is $3.98. Next day and second day shipping is also available at an additional cost.
Proofs & Samples
iPrint does not offer PDF proofs or hardcopy proofs that you can check and approve before you place your order. They do not offer free paper samples that allow you to see the paper options before you make your selections. The lack of proofs and paper samples does not meet our Market Standard.
Additional Stationery
In addition to letterhead and envelopes, iPrint offers address labels and rubber stamps.
Customer Support
iPrint offers phone, email, and live chat support. Their support is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST. We didn’t have to wait when we called customer support, and their email support wait time was 2-3 hours. Overall, we found their customer support to be high quality. iPrint offers a money-back guarantee in the event that there is a printing error on your products, which meets our Market Standard.
