Design and Printing
FedEx Office lets you upload your existing design as PDF, AI, PSD, BMP, CDR, CLK, or G files. We found uploading a design to be a very easy process. FedEx Office provides predesigned templates for flyers, postcards, and brochures. FedEx Office allows you to create your own design using their design tool for brochures, flyers and postcards. Their design tool includes a WYSIWYG editor with drag-and-drop text and image manipulation and shows cut-and-bleed lines. FedEx Office does not allow you to download blank templates that you can edit with your own software, which does not meet our Market Standard.
FedEx Office offers digital printing and not offset printing. Offset printing is a process in which a plate makes an inked impression on a rubber-blanketed cylinder, which in turn transfers it to the paper. Offset printing offers higher image quality, is more cost effective when ordering large quantities, and is better for larger prints. Digital printing is a process in which the data and images are printed directly from the computer onto paper. It has shorter turnaround time, is more cost effective when ordering small quantities, and is better for customized printing.
